Social Entrepreneurs Trade Mission
The Big Society Network and UKTI www.ukti.gov.uk are working together to take a social entrepreneurs trade mission to the US in Autumn 2011.
There are over 62,000 of social ventures in the UK, contributing over £24bn to the economy, and we believe that this is something that we need to celebrate, highlight and build on.
We are looking to identify 20 leading social ventures (For Profit and Not For Profit) that have a sustainable business model and can demonstrate that they are planning expansion into the US market or to gain investment from US investors. Within the next few weeks, we will be announcing the first organisations to be selected for the mission and announcing the launch of a competition to select the rest.
