We are delighted to invite you to our first ever series of 'Big Society on the Big Screen' films. Over the next few weeks, we will screen two films that showcase the ideas and inspirations of the 'Big Society' through one of the most powerful and influential art forms.
There will be time for networking and drinks before the film starts at 7pm.

Film: Dead Poets Society
Dead Poets Society is a 1989 drama film starring Robin Williams and directed by Peter Weir. Set at a conservative and aristocratic boys prep school, it tells the story of an English teacher who inspires his students to change their lives of conformity through his teaching of poetry and literature.

Film: It’s A Wonderful Life
It's a Wonderful Life is a 1946 American comedy/drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra and based on the short story "The Greatest Gift" written by Philip Van Doren Stern. The film stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody (Henry Travers). Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and the contributions he has made to his community.
